Treefort Music Fest’s technology track — Hackfort — embraces the community spirit of the music festival with a civic hackathon. Join us at #Hackfort3 to build tech-driven solutions to the town’s transportation challenges.
Inspired by a call to action from the Boise Bicycle Project, #Hackfort3 asks developers, designers and civic hackers to consider: What data and/or software do you need in your pocket in order to get around town better?
- Make roads safer for cyclists, skaters and pedestrians.
- Promote and ease use of public transit and ridesharing.
- Hack public maps with useful public data.
- Build apps around publicly available transportation data and help liberate more public data.
- Build the culture of open data and civic hacking in Boise.
Hackathon3 is open to individuals or teams who want to develop a web or mobile app focused on getting around the Boise Valley. All submissions must be open source, free to use and source code must be hosted on a public repository such as GitHub.
